Domain Registration
The menu bar on the left has the links to the different functions to do with domains. I've found the following functions useful:
Whois
Once you have chosen your perfect domain name, look it up in whois to see if it is available. The ".com" endings are still the preferred domains for a business. If it's not available with ".com", sometimes ".net", ".biz", ".info" or ".us" will be available.
Domain Twist
If your preferred domain is not available, try our "domain twist" to find combinations of words which are available. Type in one or two words relating to your busness and see what you get.
Domain Registration
Once you've found a domain that you like and which reflects your business, register it for US $16.99. You can get it cheaper elsewhere but you get what you pay for.
Manage Your Domain
When you've registered your domain and received your user name and password, you can log in and manage your domain from the link at left. "Managing" in this case means being able to change everything about your domain including signing up for extra services such as email forwarding, URL forwarding, DNS services and secure whois.
Renew Your Domain (log in to your account)
Every year, or multiple years if you've paid for more than one year, you'll have to renew your domain. At left is the link which lets you log in, review your information, and renew.
Quick Renew (without logging in)
If you don't need to review your information and are sure of the domain you want to renew, use the link at left to renew without having to log into your account.
Terms of Service
Our Terms of Service at left, for your information. I don't think anything should surprise you here.
Dispute Resolution Policy
The ICANN Dispute Resolution Policy at left for your information. Smart businesses avoid disputes so make sure you're not registering a domain name which might be someone else's.
